We are getting down to the last couple months so it's time to buckle down!
Sunday afternoon David and I decided to go out and search one more time for groomsmen outfits before we just gave up and rented suits.
Good thing it was our lucky day!
David is not a tux guy. He refuses to wear one and frankly I'm not a big fan of them either...too fancy. So our next option was a suit. We began looking for them a couple months ago and while we were searching David spotted a mannequin with the perfect wedding outfit.
Black slacks, shirt, pinstripe vest, and a tie.
Thus began our search for vests. We figured that all of the boys could wear their own black slacks (we're not picky) and we would find pinstripe vests, black ties, and the impossible to find green shirts to match the bridesmaid dresses.
I think we looked everywhere with NO luck. The vests were either old manish and not trendy looking or $80!
So we decided to give the vests one last shot before we gave up on them. We went out to lunch with David's mom and then checked out K and G fashions. To our surprise we found the perfect pinstripe vest for $30 and they were able to order them for us to get all of the sizes we needed. Yes!
Now that we had the vests it was on to finding shirts in the impossible-to-find shade of green. We were headed towards the mall when David's mom suggested we check out Kohl's since we were right by there. Neither of us were that enthused, but we thought "What can it hurt?" So we went in and started looking around and we spot a perfect olivey/avocadoy dress shirt hanging on the clearance rack.
We immediately begin searching for more and what do you know? We find all six of them in the correct sizes, in the perfect shade of green, for 80% off. Bam.
This is the look we are going for, except with beautiful green shirts instead of white.
The boys are gonna look pretty smooth if I say so myself.
